Welcome to Swan & Lado \u2013 an online concept store and gallery for art, antiques, and design. Founded by artists and collectors.

We believe in ensouled things. In slow craftsmanship as a healing instrument \u2013 for homes, souls, and communities. We mean it.

Is your home a reflection of who you are, or has it fallen behind because your job is too demanding, or because you simply don\u2019t know where to begin?

We\u2019re not here to sell you pseudo-esoteric nonsense (read James Hillman<\/a>). We\u2019re not crazy enough to blame mass production for all sins \u2013 but we do believe that balance can be rediscovered in the past.

We believe that a few real things in your home can spark a complete slow remake. Yes, slow.  Because creating a home can\u2019t be done in a month. But once you start replacing things with pieces you love, you\u2019ll notice a difference within a year. Think of it as domestic psychotherapy. It can start with something small: a painting, a mirror, a vase. Perhaps you\u2019ll suddenly follow the colour palette of that one piece \u2013 or combine what seems uncombinable.

What we don\u2019t believe in: homes that have been \u2018designed\u2019 in a hurry \u2013 perfect, cold, uniform. No, we don\u2019t sell design. We have better things to do. What we do want is to help you start your own design process, slowly. Begin by replacing one thing you hate with something you love, and you\u2019re already on your way. Send us a message \u2013 tell us who you are and show us photos of the space you\u2019d like to transform. We\u2019ll curate an art box for you: a unique combination of a modern or antique artwork (painting or print) and two pieces of applied art (for example, ceramics or glass), tailored to your budget. (And yes, good art can be affordable.) Pieces that work together and set the transformation of your space in motion.
